Vulkan runs on the FLX1 phone with Halium and Ubuntu Touch

Vulkan has been demonstrated on the FLX1 phone in an environment based on Halium and Ubuntu Touch. The shared video shows vkcube and Godot benchmarks running with Vulkan.

According to the published information, Vulkan support is being worked on by people involved with FuriLabs and Ubuntu Touch. The feature is expected to become available to a wider group of users at a later stage.

Vulkan support applies to applications running on Wayland. It was also noted that the implementation does not work with X11.

This may be relevant for Wayland applications that have issues related to GLES. At this stage, the demonstration includes selected test cases, including vkcube and Godot benchmarks running on the FLX1 device.
