Manjaro ARM Developer of Lomiri for PinePhone

Manjaro ARM developer build of Lomiri for PinePhone is out

The team behind Manjaro ARM for Pinephone today announced the release of the first development version with Lomiri.

Manjaro ARM developer build of Lomiri for PinePhone can be downloaded from here: https://osdn.net/projects/manjaro-arm/storage/pinephone/lomiri/dev-20210108/

We’ve tested a new developer build of Manjaro Lomiri and we have to admit that it works very snappy. If the kernel panic shows up the first time booting, don’t worry, reboot and try restarting. We managed to make a call and send a text message. We keep our fingers crossed for further development. We will definitely continue to test this build.

It is worth adding that the Manjaro ARM Lomiri project is being developed together with the UBPorts Foundation

Lomiri is the operating environment for everywhere: phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop. It features a slick and easy-to-use interface based on the design of its predecessor, Canonical’s Unity desktop environment. Lomiri is used, among others, in Ubuntu Touch, a system developed by UBports.

Manjaro ARM is the Manjaro distribution, but for ARM devices. It’s based on Arch Linux ARM, combined with Manjaro tools, themes and infrastructure to make install images for your ARM device, like the Pinebook Pro, Pinephone or Raspberry Pi.
